Woah, I remember I had only listened to your star wars track.... now that I have listened to this.... it's awesome! You are a great musical artist!

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thanks you :D

Very great song! I normally don't say stuff like this because it makes the review sound stupid, but I made a Geometry Dash level with this song (ID: 14681621). I think you should continue the song!

DarkBlueFX responds:

I don't think that geometry dash makes reviews sound stupid, I actually really appreciate that! I took some time off this stuff for school, but I will go back to this. I actually feel pretty honored that you felt this song deserved the effort you gave it.

I played the level, not bad! I like the white ball thing.

I'm not one to normally like this style of dubstep tracks, but this was amazing. The mixing was perfect. Since it faded out you can put this on loop and it still is great. :D 5/5

-Late happy new year!

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thanks! and happy late new year to you too :3

I think if you buffed the begining of the song (Maybe just a few more layers of music) It would be great. But yes, you should continue. :D

Evilgrapez responds:

Thanks. :D

EDIT: Here's another preview with a buffed beginning. :) http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/665143

OK, so before I start this review I would like to say that I'm not perfect with my music either. I have some knowledge with music and can't implement it (Due to the fact that I'm using garageband). I really can't wait to see you grow as a song artist.
[-] Suggestions [-]
- Always start with a bass line, chord progression and melody. Once you have those you are ready to create a song. For most dubstep works, it is 4/4 time with 4 chords. Almost always minor unless you are creating melodic dubstep. But I wouldn't worry about that now.
- A good reminder to have is to always have multiple layers of music going on. I have broken this rule myself, but I have recovered from it, and will follow this rule in the future.
- Always have a kick and a (bass?) drum. I noticed you were toying with drum patterns, but they must have at minimum a melody on top of them.
- As I was saying with the drum patterns, what creates a "drop" is actually Moving from the V (Five) chord to the I (one) chord. That is when you use the crazy drum patterns and go wild.
- [Side tip] If you don't want to create actual chords with notes, you can "Cheat" by using an arpeggiator. It is a synth(Ish?) that moves the scale. But I warn you that it only does certain chords. So proceed with caution.
- When creating a chord progression and a melody, it is ok to have some dissonance, as long as you go back to the I chord with no dissonance.
[-] Shameless advertisement [-]

I am currently working on a song that will have a d minor chord, a minor, g minor then an e (Diminished?) chord. I hope it is certainly better than any songs I put out.

[-] Your actual song [-]
- The song was pretty slow to start.
- I personally wished that in the beginning you made the drums quieter so we could hear the melody.
- I also wasn't a big fan of the synth used. It seemed like the pitch bend was too much, to the extreme point in which it came out wrong.
- I also wouldn't have called it dubstep.

[-] Overall thoughts [-]

I hope this helped. I can't wait to see you grow as a song artist. I also understand that I am certainly not perfect with my songs either. Good luck for any of your future songs! :)

GeometryDashBrad responds:

Thanks, this is my first full review! I agree since I'm not great, but this is still my best. I would call it dubstep, but that doesn't really matter because what it needs is a subbass, 140 bpm, and half-stepped drums. (Been doing my research) I suck at mixing, so that's a problem XD. But anyway, I agree with most of that as I'm still experimenting. Good luck on your music, I'll go check it out!

NO! THIS CANNOT BE THE FINAL ONE!!! PLEASE WE NEED MORE OF THIS THEME!!!

DJStriden responds:

Lvl six 2066 confirmed.

Woah why aren't you scouted yet. I was just on it!

JayBunny responds:

I was scouted, but banned. Read my latest news post.

At first I was like completely disappointed until I saw that it was melodic dubstep. In which case this is perfect! (The name threw me off) 5/5

EnNinja responds:

Good to hear :3

Very good use of pads and the synths! Drums were a bit quiet but that is okay because it is melodic edm. I hate to say this because it isn't a justified statement, but it doesn't have that wow factor for a 5/5. So overall, 4/5

Mekkatech responds:

Thanks :) Glad you like it

GIVE THAT MAN A FREE SEAT AT THE STAR WARS MOVIE!!!

sorohanro responds:

Actually I got a free seat because of my silly music projects. I had to make them live at the Star Wars premiere.
