This is pretty good! It's not my cup of tea but I won't let my personal bias get in the way of the review.

TheSpacePunk responds:

nice :)
5 stars anyway? thanks !

I don't know if it's the song or the "HYPHENS AROUND THE TITLE SO THAT MEANS [it's] FANCY AS FUCK." but the dubstep and drop was actually was super good!

DarkBlueFX responds:

lol thanks! I'm so so about it, but I appreciate the feedback!

I can see that you used some of this stuff in oxytoxic! I like the fact that you applied the stuff that you learned from this into your other song.

DarkBlueFX responds:

Yeah, I'm starting to think it's more a sign of laziness that once I make a decent sound I keep reusing it in future songs. So in that kinda sense I'm glad you pointed that out cause maybe I should be aware of when I may or may not be re-using too much.

The drop has an almost ambient feel with the fade effect. I'm not saying that's good/ bad, it's just an observation. I also can tell that you are a fan of reverb! Very good!

Lubloom responds:

Ambient sounds are something I like to use in my tracks, I don't really know why though.
I do like using reverb too :) And thank you! Hopefully the finished version will be even better.

Very well designed!

Lubloom responds:

Thank you :D

Most of the time I will respect good dubstep. I'm sorry but this just isn't my cup of tea. I respect what you did for the song, but I think there were things that were lax within the dubstep itself. Before I leave this review, I would like to fully admit that I am not a perfect music creator. I would also like to admit that I'm still in training. But I still can't excuse the few thing that bothered me.

Although there was a chord progression, it was very weak and didn't fit with the dubstep itself. If you look at the meaning of dubstep, it is a song with a heavy bass line. You need a very strong chord progression to sculpt a perfect bass line. When you mix sounds together, you have only done 1/2 of the work needed. Even though the definition says strong bass, that also doesn't mean that you throw any melody with the bass. Dubstep is supposed to also have a melody playing at the same time.

Most people who make dubstep like yours respond that they are trying a "Skrillex" style that people like me don't understand. But, Skrillex actually will put the 4 chords that he uses to separate the sections of dubstep he makes. What this song did was make the sounds come first and finish it with the chords. If you wanted to make a "Skrillex" themed song you would use that strategy.

Another problem I have is that the parts with the construction of the song. As I said before, the chord progression doesn't fit with the dubstep. The chord progression and the melody have a bright tone. The dubstep has a darker tone. You have to stay consistent. When I say this, people talk about the symphonies that change tone. The difference is that they spend 4 minutes (Give or take) on one tone then shift to another tone. They also use various chord changes to get to the point of changing tone.

Normally I wouldn't obsess over a song like this, but it just bothers me that a song with 4,000 plays and 1,000 downloads is just so damn lazy. I'm the first one to admit that I'm no star. Thanks for reading,

Hello :) I respect your opinion. This is my music style what i like to do and this is not dubstep, this is complextro!

Every time I see a DJ Striden song, I always five- star. Your music is inspiring me to create stuff and maybe in many years, I can make music like you! But, DJ Striden, when wil the "Energy" generation be on iTunes? I think you have enough songs to make a 12 song album. Unless you want to wait to put a 24 song album out there...

I remember the "level" series. Although my heart dropped when I saw it was the final, now I think it's for the best. It would be overkill to make more. You also said you could create another series replying to another review. I think we need a "Battles" series. Maybe like themes for boss battles in video games, or a hybrid between EDM and cinematic.

Your #1 fan who has tried to spread the music,

DJStriden responds:

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like my music! I agree, a new series would be awesome, I'll look into that :)

PS. Energy will go live soon.

Nice beat! This is some quality right here! :D

Thanks!!! ^^

Pretty good. I am not a fan of the reverb on the bass drum [In the begining], but the synth is pure and sounds really good. I like it overall!

MetronicOfficial responds:

Thank you, you are the best ;)

Woah this is 100% better! :D

MetronicOfficial responds:
