Great song dude! I think There needs to be a little more reverb to the piano but that's it. Very well made! It seems that you have gotten amazing and I have taken a step back ('-'). Ehhh, whatever. Keep making awesome music!

DJ-Zyzyx responds:

Thank u m7 8)))

This song is ok, but as a music artist I'm not a big fan of some certain things:

1) The layers of music in this song is fairly low. In the intro you had a melody and nothing else other than drums. A bass, underline chords and soundscape would have been nice. then later you added what I think was a bass but there was way too much pitch bend. Pitch bent isn't a bad thing, but sometimes it can be used improperly. If you want to hear a perfect way to use pitch bend I would recommend listening to this song: [ http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/475468 ]

2) The drums themselves were rather weak. I would have loved for some eq on the drums. They just didn't fit well with the synth for the melody

3) The composition was a little confusing. There wasn't clear pattern with a definite "A section" or, "B section" or any sections of the sort. The development of the song should be taken in accounted for when creating one.

I'm not trying to hate on your song, I just think a little more detail and attention should be used. I really wish I could have gotten criticism like this a year ago. I really did suck (I guess I still suck now but I pull through :P)

TheSharkBite responds:

Thanks M8 this is a GR8 review thanks for answering!

Woah, you played this? This is really amazing. I can hear the MIDI magic you did but I still think it is great. I'm so glad to see awesome stuff like this is being put into the portal!

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Yup, I did :)
The video is in the description if you want to see it!
I think I fixed like three or four notes that happened to not sound great. The magic I did for this, was to use the same file, for 6 pianos playing at once at different volumes, and panned in different directions (And EQd to fit together), filling up the entire "room" of sounds, as they didn't sound full on their own.

Thanks a ton for all the compliments!
I'll try to respond to your message tomorrow! I'm going to Japan on Wednesday though, so if I don't have time to respond tomorrow, excuse me if it takes a couple of weeks ^ ^

Awesome, I like it. It has a very elegant sound. I feel like one could walk a royal red carpet to this song.

EagleGuard responds:

Haha, that's a nice bit of imagery, thanks!

I really like this new style that you have picked up! This was planned for 1 year? Well you should be proud, it sounds really good.

Waterflame responds:

Pretty much yeah, or well more like, tried to make it work for a year. it was on the sidelines being tinkered with now and then. Thank you! :)

Awesome Lethalix! This is really cool! I'm making a song but I have absolutely no idea how one could make a bass drop. Everything was perfect. The exposition, bridge the "chorus[?]" and the release was really well designed.

P.S. Could you please find some way to put your "The Force Awakens" on iTunes? I dunno, just wondering :P

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thank you! i don't think it can put it on iTunes because i used way too many samples from star wars :)

DJ Striden! I'm so impressed! I can't even tell what's going on and it's amazing.

DJStriden responds:

Thank you for listening! Glad you think so :)

Seriously,
mind = blown

I don't write meaningless reviews with no input that often, but this has gotta be one of these reviews. Amazing song

Razorrekker responds:

Thank you!

This very good! You should be proud of yourself, this is a masterpiece. But don't let you push you down by thinking you can't be better, use this to say that you can be better. Literally everything is perfect in this track besides one small thing. I wish it had more than the rotating chords you had in the piece. I "b" section would be nice, but isn't 100% needed. Very good song overall. You have picked up on one thing I think every music artist needs to know which is having a "room" sound to your music. It is hard to explain it, but you certainly have it here. Keep up the good work!

DJ-Zyzyx responds:

Haha thanks!! I'm trying to make my music have that "roomy" feel, but a lot of people don't like it for some reason lol. Thank you for the review. And yes, this could be better, but I'm still improving! XD

I don't listen to complextro or drumstep often, so I guess I'm a little biased.

I just wish underneath all the music was a bass with a "Sine" effect. It would seriously add to the depth of the song and make it great.

Ravitex responds:

A bass with a Sine effect? Sine isn't an effect, my friend. Sine is a waveform. And on a low note it basically sounds like bass. Sub-bass to be more precise. I add a layer of it to all my songs, but I balance it properly so the bass doesn't overpower the rest of the song. But maybe I just misunderstand you and don't get your point. PM me if that's the case.

I'm a composer for film, animation and video games. If you need any music, sound design, or voice acting feel free to reach out.
