GIVE THAT MAN A FREE SEAT AT THE STAR WARS MOVIE!!!

sorohanro responds:

Actually I got a free seat because of my silly music projects. I had to make them live at the Star Wars premiere.
Thanks for review.

Woah! I really like this theme! I am a newbie at making songs. So I would love to ask what chord progression this is. But I love this song. Really!

DanJohansen responds:

Glad you enjoyed it that much, thanks a million for the kind words! I am not really the one to ask for composing details, when I work with music I just step into a creative world where whatever comes to mind is what I make, I don't really think in theoretical terms etc.

WHY DIDN'T I SEE THIS EARLIER!!! 3:00 Is really freaking creepy. Nice job. The voices can be herd better than before. I always like to give constructive criticism, so I would think about giving this a more cryptic feel to it. Experiment with diminish chords and minor chord, and all that fun stuff (But hey, I don't crap about music, so I may have just said one of the most dumbass things that you have herd of all time) But yeah, still amazing. 4/5

aaronmusslewhite responds:

Not not at all. I used a lot more dissonant chord structures in the previous version for sure. But there are dim chords in this... and its pretty much all minor haha.

For this version I tried to keep my Elfman influence at a minimum cuz I didn't want to just recreate the same song and when I made Halloweenstep my idea going in was "What if someone made an Elfman-esque dubstep track.... yeah let's do that!"

I made a pretty creppy video too if you wanna check that out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKr7oWsjaVQ

Thanks for the review! Hope your halloween was spoopy and awesome! :D

2,677 plays, 731 Downloads.... 1 (now 2) reviews.... Wow. dang, newgrounds makes so much sense. Anyways, I love the song! I think it flowed nicely. The only complaint I have is at 1:20 you put a synth and a drum- like sound at the same exact time. I wasn't too fond of what the result was. I personally don't like the way it sounded. 4/5

Barzoom responds:

Hey! Thanks for the review, haha. That gimmick at 1:20 was just some random stuff I was sprinkling around so it didn't sound so empty. It could definitely work without it but yeaaah. Whatever makes the song sound more disturbing and unsettling may or may not be better :D.

WOW! I love this song. Every aspect captures the cryptic theme of halloween. But... sometimes I can't hear what the words in the song are. Could you possibly reply what the lyrics are on this? Thanks. This is a great song nonetheless. ~This was added to one of my favorite songs~

aaronmusslewhite responds:

Thanks glad you liked it! I'm planning on doing another halloween type song for halloween this year as well :D.

The words are just samples from various horror movies, dawn of the dead and other stuff. I got it all linked together in a long various horror movie sample.

THe creepy voices in the second build is from a mark twain cartoon for kids, you can search 'creepy mark twain cartoon' to find it

Before I start this review, I would like.to mention that I am a real dick when it comes to reviewing audios... Thank you!

First thoughts:
This was very slow for a dance song. The drums were very simple, I would have perfered more complicated mixes.
At 1:16 I finally had the vibe of a dance song. But you lost the drums, or at least you made them extremely quiet. And the pattern was very simple. At 1:16 I would like to mention that I liked your chord progression. I really enjoyed the synth at 1:49. It reminded me on an old song called Popcorn by hot butter. It was one of the first times a synth was used to make a song. I'm sorry, but I have ran out of time to have a larger review... but I would like to give this 4/5 stars! (Because I realize that I am way to critical with reviews and songs)

stegosaurus responds:

Yeah, the drums were pretty quiet in this mix, and to be honest, this is more house than dance. Thank you for the critique! I really appreciate it.

Love the song, guitar was killer! Even though I knew you had drums, I would have liked them to be louder. Everything else was great!!!

Deemo-R responds:

Being a drummer myself, I can totally agree with you on that. I'll definitely try to keep the drum presence up in future mixes! Thanks for reviewing! :D

This is so amazing. Strings with the synth you used blend beautifully. 5/5!
P.S. I love the way how you responded to every review! It shows that you care about the little guy listening to your music!

Semaphore responds:

I read every single review and I appreciate every one of them =) Thank you very much Helloyourbored
