I can tell that you put a huge amount of effort into this song. I would check some of the chords you use. I don't know if it is your chords or if it is the pitch bend in the lead synth, but it needs to be fixed. The actual bass used was rather good for dubstep. It did get a little awkward when the bass note had ended and you were left with this high pitched wobble of a note. I would like to mention that dubstep isn't exactly my cup of tea, so I know I can't rate this properly without being biased. So, because I know I am biased, I will give you a 4/5

KaixoMusic responds:

thanks for your opinion, idk what you mean with the lead synth, you mean the 3rd part? That is actually a wobble, so yeah it sounds kinda weird, but dubstep uses all sorts of weird sounds, so i thought this would fit.

I wish I could give good feedback besides the fact that this is amazing!

LawnReality responds:

Thanks! Glad you like it!

Reminds me a little of undertale...?
Did like the quality of the song. I would just check a few notes in the beginning, for I think like one or two sounded off- key. Ending was a little abrupt too

iViSiONzGD responds:

Thanks, and yeah, the beginning is quite weird, it's supposed to be in a weird key that has some notes that are a little "off"... Also this was for an Undertale battle I'm making on Unitale, glad someone else thought it sounds like it :P Also the ending is abrupt because it's kinda meant to be a loop, I should probably change that.

Although the song was ok, the pitch bend in the song is a little too much for me. The drums weren't too great either. I normally don't give bad ratings T.T
3/5

AliceMako responds:

Thanks for listening.

I really like the chord progression. It is rather repetitive, but I think if you added vocals it would sound perfect. Just make sure you take a brush on the idioms if you ever use vocals. Good luck creating music!

Kyron20 responds:

Okay! I tried making it less repetitive, but when I try to add a B segment to the drop or a new part to the song just after getting inspiration, I find that the song doesn't sound as good after adding it. I agree I could have added vocals, but I didn't have the idea when I was making this. Also, I don't know anyone who would do vocals for me. Thanks for the review!

Very well mixed! Nothing to really say here, because it is just so good!

Vahnson responds:

thanks for the feed back.

Here is my full out review.

0:00 to 00:30

[-] The mixing is pretty good.
[-] The very close to ambient sound is very nice.

00:30 to 1:30

[-] The jump to the very punchy synth to rather muffled was awkward
[-] The mixing is still very good. I really like the drum choices.
[-] It is nice that there are people on NG that still use a melody bass at the same time

1:30 to 2:00

[-] Very smooth transition.
[-] I love this clean synth. This section was very well done.
[-] The drum choice was perfect

2:00 to 2:30

[-] I like all the synth choices that you have
[-] I personally don't like how you made the octave go higher with the main synth. Just keep the (Subbass?) going up the octave.
[-] Still some pretty strong drumds. But maybe use multiple drums leading to the drop

2:30 to 3:00

[-] NO! The drop had so much going for it! It felt like you were on the right floor but the jumped out the window (Translation into real English: It had so much going for it, but then it sounded like it failed.)
[-] Although the mixing was good, it wasn't good enough for the drop.

3:00 to 3:43

[-] The mixing was [once again,] good. But it didn't have that feel-good vibe at the end like most songs do. Trust me, I have the same exact problem. It is hard to have a song that makes you "feel-good." But if you want your mixing to be mind- blowing, it must have this feeling.

Overall thoughts:

[-] I could feel the EnV inspiration.
[-] It was a pretty good song. You have demonstrated a good knowledge of music.
[-] I just think that there are a few things that could use some tweaking.

3.5/ 5 stars
(I hope you find my rating fair)

ggaero responds:

Wow, thanks for the detailed review :)

Please note that I am being as critical as possible so you can be a key person in the Newgrounds portal:
The mixing was done pretty well. The drums were exceptional. I also liked the number of layers in your music. There was one "awkward" pitch that was used as a drum, I think. It did make me want to take my headphones off. Although you chose 2 very nice chords, nothing much happened. Newgrounds is very picky with the melody, and there wasn't one that appeared in this work. I melody is crucial because this is what gets people to look at your music more.

TrixterTV responds:

ok will do bro thanks

If you tell me the music theory behind this song I will scout you. I just want to make sure you actually made this. I could get banned if you didn't make this I and scouted you because of this song.

NeostarMusic responds:

I did make this, and I am already scouted, I just felt like using some violins in a way, but I didn't do very well, thanks for your concern.

I really like the feel to this song. It flows very well.

MetronicOfficial responds:

Thank You! :D
